Lithophane from a photograph

The editor converts photographs into printable relief objects, including flat and curved panels, cylinders, night lights, ornaments, frames, and multi-image lamps.

Quick start

1. Choose the product type.

2. Drop a photograph into the editor, paste it from the clipboard, or select a file.

3. Crop the image and configure relief thickness.

4. Set product dimensions, frame, and mounting options.

5. Rebuild the model and inspect both the front and back.

6. Download the STL and verify it in your slicer.

Image preparation

Use a sharp image with a broad tonal range. Cropping should keep important details away from holes, frame edges, and seams. Image text remains exactly as supplied and is not translated when the interface language changes.

Relief and printing

Thin areas transmit more light and thick areas appear darker. Keep minimum thickness printable for your nozzle and material; excessive maximum thickness can reduce contrast. Light-colored filament, a small layer height, and a consistent extrusion path usually produce the clearest result. Preview the orientation and supports for curved products, and print a small test before a large multi-image lamp.
